The Georgia Dugout Club is hosting a series of summer showcases to promote fastpitch softball in the state. We are evaluating players (2012 rising freshman – rising seniors) at 9 different host sites in May and June. After the 9 host site showcases the GADC will select the top 80 showcase participants to compete in the Elite 80 showcase at Twin Creels Park in Woodstock July 11, 2012.

Once the Elite 80 players have been chosen from the 9 showcases, the athletes will be divided into teams for the Elite 80 event, and to participate in games. The GADC will provide a program with contact information on each of the athletes for college coaches that attend the Elite 80 showcase on July 11th. Additionally the GADC website (georgiadugoutclub.com) can be accessed by all college coaches so that they have contact information on all players that participated in any of the 9 showcases leading up to the Elite 80 games in July. It is the goal of the GADC to provide the college coach with additional resources for recruiting athletes in Georgia.

We are inviting college coaches from all over the southeast to attend the Elite 80 competition and to witness some of the best fastpitch softball talent in Georgia. The dates and locations of the 9 original evaluation sites are listed below. The cost of the showcase is $100.00 and there is no additional fee for qualifying for the Elite 80 showcase in July. If the student-athlete is selected for the Elite 80, not only with they participate in the games in front of college coaches, they will receive a t-shirt, bag, and other gear from the GADC as acknowledgement of their selection.

The summer camp information has been updated.  Check out the camp information link for more details.  Register now to make sure your child gets an opportunity to attend camp.  Also, tell all the parents on your daughter's team about the camps.  Camps are more fun for the girls when they have friends and teammates there.  We're looking forward to another great summer of softball at LHS.  See you at the field. 

Spring physicals will be held on Tuesday, April 24th at 6:00pm in the LHS Cafeteria.  ALL players must have a physical in order to participate this summer and next fall.  Physicals will be good for the whole calendar year and will also cover all sports in the winter and sping. 

The April Diamond Club meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 24th at 7:30pm in the LHS Media Center.  Make plans to attend after the physicals.
